2022, China Metallurgical Mine "Double Carbon Work" Training Course was successfully held in Longteng Special Steel

On November 23, 2022, the inaugural meeting of the China Metallurgical Mining Enterprise Association's Double Carbon Work Promotion Committee and the training course on "Double Carbon Work" in metallurgical mines were held in Longteng Special Steel. The event was hosted by China Metallurgical Mining Enterprise Association, and undertaken by Double Carbon Working Committee of China Metallurgical Mining Enterprise Association and Changshu Longte Wear-resistant Ball Co., Ltd..

Chen Yuqian delivered a speech to the conference and congratulated the establishment of the Double Carbon Work Promotion Committee of China Metallurgical and Mining Enterprises Association. He made a work report entitled "Building a Green and Low-carbon Industrial Chain with the Target of" Double Carbon "as the Starting Point", which introduced the background of this conference and the double carbon work done by major mines and steel enterprises in China.He said that the General Secretary Xi Jinping has made clear in the 20 major reports that China should "actively participate in the global governance of climate change, actively yet prudently promote carbon peaking carbon neutrality, and implement carbon peaking action step by step in a planned way". Major steel enterprises have issued the dual-carbon targets and road maps, especially affirming the work done by Longteng Special Steel in the practice of "dual-carbon" targets. The green and low-carbon development of China's steel will make China's contribution to the world's steel industry.

Lei Pingxi addressed the conference, saying that to achieve the goal of "double carbon" is not something that others ask us to do, but something we must do ourselves. China is the largest iron and steel production and consumer in the world. The iron and steel industry is one of the industrial sectors with the largest energy consumption and carbon emission. It is a key area to support China's carbon peak and carbon neutralization on schedule. Metallurgical mine is the most upstream industry of iron and steel industry, is the industrial chain material input, therefore, to promote carbon peak has become the historical mission of metallurgical mine can not shirk.

This conference provided a boost for the brand promotion of Longteng special steel wear-resistant ball. The work of promoting the association's "double carbon" shared by the conference has provided rich experience for major manufacturing enterprises in Changshu, and contributed to China's role as a big country to achieve the goal of "double carbon".
