ER312 Stainless Steel Gas Shielded Arc Welding Wire


AWS A5.9: ER312 is a solid wire electrode for GMAW, suitable for welding or surfacing hardly weldable steels. Suitable to weld buffer layers of hard depositions. The excellent mechanical properties and the notch resistance make this wire of general use.


ER312 is used to weld cast alloys of similar composition and is used to weld dissimilar metals and weld overlays. This alloy has very high ferrite. When welding similar cast alloys, limit welding to two or three layers only.
