Product Description
1.6mm Er70s-6 Mild Steel Mig Welding Wire Cooper Plating Surface
LT*ER70S-6 0.8/1.0/1.2/1.6mm Cooper Coating Welding Wire
Applications:
Applying for the welding of carbon steel and low alloy steel for shipbuilding, bridges, buildings, vehicles, and machinery.
Characteristics:
This wire is CO2 gas shielded flux cored wire of titanium slag system, applying for all position welding, with excellent mechanical properties and process performance. When welding is small, the arc is stable and soft.effortless slag removal, the weld molding is beautiful. The wire approved by the classification society of ten country ,which is CCS, ABS, BV, DnV, LR, GL, NK, KR, CWB, RINA . Approval grade is 3YH10.
Attention:
1. Direct Current Electrode Positive(DCEP)welding.(Welding wire connecting anode)
2, Use CO2 as shielded gas ,whose purity is more than 99.9%, and flow rate is 20-25L/min.
3, when in multi pass welding, keep the layer temperature at about 150 to 200 degrees celsius.
4, In order to prevent the occurrence of pores, please the remove the grease and rust from the surface of base metal before welding
5, the preservation of welding wire: wire has been taken measures to resist moisture before using. It should be used as soon as possible when opening the package , do not leave the welding wire has not been used up for a long time in the air.
6,Due to the softer solid wire ,do not lock the pressure roller of wire feeding device too tight.

Flux-Core vs. Solid MIG Welding Wire
There are two primary types of MIG welding wire – flux-core and solid MIG welding wire.
Flux-core wire is a metal electrode that contains a “flux compound” inside the electrode. When the wire melts and reacts with the welding arc, this forms a gas that protects the weld from oxygen, which can cause defects in the weld. This means that no shielding gas is required for this type of wire – though in some cases, shielding gas may be used alongside flux-core wire for even more protection.
In contrast, solid wire electrodes are exactly what they sound like – large reels of solid metal wire that do not contain any flux. This means they must be used with shielding gas. The most common shielding gas is 75% argon and 25% carbon dioxide. The welding gun delivers a steady stream of gas from a container, which surrounds the electrode and weld area to prevent oxidation and defects in the weld.
Depending on the application, both kinds of MIG welding wire (solid and flux-core) can be made from a variety of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and silver, to name just a few.
